VOICES FOR BIOJUSTICE CASE STUDIES
Voices for BioJustice draws upon local groups’ experiences with natural products in order to explore the impact of law and policy on sustainability, equity and broader social justice. These cases contribute real-world detail and illustration of the issues and themes that arise from commercialization of biological and genetic resources, and the laws and policies that regulate them. Case studies include: Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) in South Africa; the Resurrection Plant (Myrothamnus flabellifolius) in Namibia; and Bush mango (Irvingia gabonensis) in Cameroon but will also be broadened to include other cases as the initiative evolves.
