OUR GEOGRAPHIC FOCUS
Voices for BioJustice is a collaborative initiative managed by the University of Cape Town and People and Plants International, but involving a diverse and multi-disciplinary network of groups and individuals from around the world. The geographic focus of our work is initially in Africa, but the project spans the globe both in terms of partner organisations, and the relevance of its mission and findings.
In addition to developing resources and materials for specific countries, Voices for Biojustice also facilitates cross-regional exchanges, and provides information and advice to international policy processes, including those of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The initial focus of our work is on Cameroon, Namibia and South Africa, all biologically and culturally diverse countries that have engaged with biodiversity policy on a variety of levels, and in different ways.
Our current video work also includes collaborators from Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, and other countries.
