DEEPENING THE POLICY DIALOGUE
A global, multi-disciplinary Resource Group of scholars and practitioners convenes regularly to provide on-going support to project partners, to explore the conceptual underpinnings of ABS and related laws, and to provide critical perspectives from a range of disciplines.
Through working with a set of core themes and with a lens on social justice, the group interrogates the interface between ABS, conservation and rural livelihoods, exploring ways in which equity and benefit sharing can be better effected and the role of policy and legislation in achieving change.
The process also includes ongoing research in a range of countries; collaborations on journal articles to provide a coherent and contemporary analysis of ABS and related policies; webinars; videos; and a series of on-going meetings.
